Terms of Service

What Zefra is

• Zefra is a job-matching service for PhD scientists and postdocs: it collects publicly listed job postings from employer career sites, matches them against the research profile you provide, and shows you a scored shortlist.
• The service is currently in private beta: access is invite-gated, free of charge, and features may change or break. If we introduce paid plans later, we'll announce it on the site before anything is charged.

What we promise — and what we don't

• We work to keep postings fresh and links live (postings are re-checked daily), but job data comes from third-party sites and can be outdated, incomplete, or wrong. Always verify a posting on the employer's own page before applying.
• Match scores are automated judgments by AI models. They are decision support, not a guarantee that a role fits you or that an application will succeed.
• Zefra is not a recruiter, employment agency, or agent of any employer, and has no relationship with the companies whose public postings it indexes.
• The service is provided "as is", without warranties. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any damages arising from use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us (currently: nothing).

Your account and data

• You sign in with Google and provide a resume/profile so matching can work. What we store and how it's processed is in the privacy note.
• You can delete your profile, resume file, and match history yourself at any time (Settings → Delete my profile).
• Keep your account to yourself; you're responsible for activity under it.

Acceptable use

• Zefra is for your personal job search. Don't scrape, resell, or redistribute the service or its data, probe its security, or use it to spam employers.
• We may suspend accounts that abuse the service or degrade it for others.

Changes

We may update these terms as the product evolves; the "last updated" date above will change and material changes will be noted on the site. Continued use after a change means acceptance.
